G&G GC18 MOD1 ETU AEG

The G&G GC18 MOD 1 is the metal bodied variant of the hugely popular Combat Machine model. Although the CM18 and GC18 look similar, the internals and performance are worlds apart.The AEG is based on the CQBR carbine with a sightless gas block and a full length accessory rail which is used by NSWC-Crane, Coastguard, the EOD and Marine Force Recon operators.From a distance the AEG looks like a typical M4 CQBR, when you pick up and fire this weapon it becomes very clear that it is a far from typical AEG.

Starting on the outside of the gun it's easy to see why G&G weapons are so highly regarded. Having been assembled from top quality components, the MOD 1 looks and feels reassuringly solid. The cranestock is made from polymer and it is fully adjustable as you?d expect. The metal receiver has a high quality finish with laser sharp engravings. The controls are typical for an M4 derivative, albeit of a much higher quality than most replicas.

The rail in particular looks very nice. The top rail is huge and traverses the length of the receiver and handguard. There is additional real estate on the sides and bottom of the handguard so there is enough space to accommodate most bolt on goodies. The distinctive muzzle flash hider and flip up front & rear sights top off a very attractive weapon.This G&G is part of the GC Intermediate range, however the performance of this AEG is anything but intermediate. Load the battery into the cranestock, lock in the magazine, flip to semi and wow. The gearbox on this gun sounds ridiculously crisp and snappy.

The combination of the Electronic Trigger Unit, MOSFET & hi torque Ifrit motor is just amazing. The trigger response is first class with semi auto firing a particular highlight of G&G ETU weapons, and it will also prevent lock-ups with rapid trigger pulls. Another highlight worth mentioning is the ETU will stop the AEG from firing if the batteries power becomes dangerously low, and it can also be used to program the gun to fire 3-round bursts.
