Great receiver! Suggested parts and tips below.
Over the last two years, I slowly upgraded my backup gun, a G&G Firehawk both internally and externally and this was the final piece of the upgrade puzzle. Lucky for me, the receiver swap went very smoothly so I have listed some parts below, as well as some tips for anybody who wants create a problem-free Noveske build.Using a G&G Combat Machine / Firehawk gearbox, a Maxx Model ME Pro hop up, a 21mm Maxx Model Nozzle and PTS epm mags, I was able to get an extremely reliable feed. Both the standard G&G tapped plate and FPS Airsosft’s light orange tapper plate work fine too.Things to note: 1 - you must purchase your own mag release. I purchased a Kublai ambidextrous mag release. This needed the mag release hole to be slightly widened using a 6mm drill bit. A standard mag release should fit directly but if you want this option, do this very gently and on a low speed with your drill.2 - the final fit together can be tight. But it also means there’s no wobble in the receiver. If you can get the top and bottom receiver holes to line up, use a rubber mallet to help bang in the receiver pin.3 - when closed, movement of the mock bolt may also be stiff. To help reduce friction, use a smooth air cylinder that has no grooves.4 - a purple Prometheus bucking and a white Modify bucking both fed really well in mine with flat hop nubs. Some buckings like G&G green did not feed so you may have to test any other buckings you like to run.5 - your choice of gears should not matter, I use 13:1 SHS gears with a green Ultimate 30,000 motor (1 tooth removed from sector gear and piston rack) but any other single-sector-gear setup should work. I have no experience with dog setups so can’t vouch yet. Installing a Titan or Aster is also highly recommended ;)Building from the ground up can often consist of hours and days of trial and error. So I hope these specs help anybody who wants to build or upgrade a gun using this body. :) If you feel this work is too much however, you can also buy badass guns as cheap as €250 the days. :p
