  • Polarstar Kythera V2 M4

    The Kythera has been the most eagerly anticipated products from PolarStar in the past decade. This HPA system is a radical departure from all previous systems that PolarStar has produced since the Kythera does not use a battery, an FCU or any type of electronics. The Kythera is completely mechanical. This means you never have to worry about charging batteries or work with delicate electronics. It also means that the system is completely waterproof.

    The name "Kythera" (ky-the-ra) was derived from the Antikythera Mechanism which is a mysterious device that was discovered by sponge divers off the coast of the Greek island Antikyther. The mechanism was so advanced in design that scientists have been studying it for decades to discover its purpose. The machine dates from around the end of the 2nd century B.C. and is the most sophisticated mechanism known from the ancient world. Nothing as complex is known for the next thousand years. The Antikythera Mechanism is now understood to be dedicated to astronomical phenomena and operates as a complex mechanical "computer" which tracks the cycles of the Solar System.

    For this reason we used the name Kythera for the valve mechanism at the core of a new line of PolarStar mechanical HPA systems. Although it contains very few parts and is easy to install and maintain, the system incorporates a very intelligent design and is unlike anything else on the market. The system was designed as a mechanical system from the ground up and uses a realistic trigger mechanism which can be applied to single-shot, semi-automatic and fully-automatic systems. The first of these systems is Kythera SA (Semi-Automatic), the semi-auto-only variant for use in AEG gearboxes.

    So, what makes the Kythera so unique?

    Realistic Trigger

    What sets this system apart from other mechanical systems is the design of its trigger. The trigger mechanism is designed to replicate the function, weight and feel of a real single-action firearm trigger. It feels real because it is real. The hardened alloy steel sears catch and release the stainless steel spool valve in the same way the sears of a real firearm catch and release the hammer or striker. This gives the Kythera trigger the distinct break and reset you would expect to feel when firing a real single action firearm. The trigger mechanism in the Kythera SA is also adjustable, allowing the user to fine tune the weight and over travel. Additionally, the internal firing valve is balanced and the only force applied during firing is the main spring. This means the function and feel of the trigger is independent of input pressure and velocity.

    Complete Shot Cycle

    The design of the Kythera SA completes a shot cycle on the trigger pull. This gives you the proven closed bolt performance of the Fusion Engine and F2 in a completely mechanical, waterproof system with a realistic trigger. It does not require the trigger to be released before the nozzle chambers the next round and the firing volume is refilled. This occurs automatically and consistently every shot, with adjustable nozzle dwell and return speed. As the system resets and recharges immediately after firing, it is ready to fire again before the trigger has been released. This means the system can cycle very quickly for faster follow up shots and a lower potential for double feeding.

    Extremely Efficient and Consistent

    The valve design of the Kythera operates without the need for air to control the opening or closing of the valve. Without a pilot valve, 100% of the air going into the system is fired through the nozzle allowing it to operate very efficiently. In addition to being extremely efficient, the system is also extremely consistent. The valve is released at the same point every shot with the same force applied, regardless of trigger input.

    Universal Charging Cord

    The steel cord visible at the back of the system is attached to a cocking mechanism for the internal spool valve.  Although the system automatically cocks the spool valve when the system is pressurized, since the Kythera uses a balanced valve, it is possible in certain situations that the valve could stall and needs to be manually cocked. This typically only happens if the system is run completely out of air so that the pressure drops below the operating range of the system. The cord is designed to be either routed through the grip of the rifle for easy access or even possibly attached in some fashion to the charging handle.

    Easy Installation

    The Kythera SA system installs into a standard gearbox as a single assembly and typically does not require any modification to the gearbox. There are no separate parts to install and the only parts needing to be retained from the gearbox is the trigger, spring guide, selector and safety components.

    Wide Velocity Adjustment Range

    The Kythera has a wide operating pressure range of 60psi to 180psi which allows you to fine tune the velocity of the system and tailor for different requirements and applications. Within this pressure range we observed a muzzle velocity of 270 - 500fps w/ .20g using a 6.05x380mm barrel. This lets a single Kythera be used in any role ranging from CQB to Sniper by mainly just adjusting the input pressure from your air rig.

    • Designed from the ground up as a high performance mechanical HPA system, not a modification of a solenoid operated design.
    • Patent pending valve mechanism provides excellent efficiency and consistent velocity combined with a realistic trigger pull and reset.
    • Completes a full shot cycle on the trigger pull alone which translates into consistent nozzle movement and rapid follow up shots.
    • Adjustable trigger. Adjustments include: Weight, length of pull and over travel.
    • Adjustable nozzle dwell/return speed.

    What is F2?

    F2 is essentially a Mini Fusion Engine. It offers the same adjustability and performance as the Fusion Engine in a cylinder sized package.

    Patented Dual Solenoid Design

    The dual solenoid design of the F2™ provides the same functionality as the legendary Fusion Engine™ but in a more compact, efficient and flexible design. Dual solenoids allow for the nozzle and the poppet valve to be adjusted independently of each other for unparalleled control over both the loading time and air volume used. Additionally, this makes it possible to change the firing sequence giving it the ability to operate in both true closed bolt as well as "AEG" mode.

    Increased Efficiency

    The F2™ incorporates a new one-piece, lightweight poppet valve design yet still operates on the same principle as the Fusion Engine™ poppet. This valve is able to operate at lower pressures and uses less air volume to function which optimizes air efficiency. The standard F2 poppet is equivilent to the Red Low-Flow poppet of the Fusion Engine.

    Spring Loaded Nozzle

    The F2™ nozzle is spring biased forward which provides a consistent loading force regardless of operating pressure. It shares the same spring as the Fusion Engine™ with both light and heavy spring options available to adjust the loading force. The robust design of the F2™ allows for an operating pressure range of 45psi to 145psi which enables it to achieve velocities from CQB to DMR while employing only one nozzle for the entire velocity adjustment range.

    What is the difference between F2, F1 and JACK ?

    Both F1 and JACK are "open bolt" systems, meaning the nozzle is in the rearward position when the system is idle and the round is fired during the forward movement of the nozzle. F2 is a dual-solenoid system which allows for complete control over the shot cycle

    Nozzles :

    Over 20 standard F2 nozzles are available for installation into a wide range of replicas. These are numbered, rather than named, since a single nozzle is often compatible with multiple replicas. The "Original Model" listed in the table is the replica from which the nozzle measurements were taken and is for reference. If your gun is not listed in our Compatiblity Database a recommended nozzle length may calculated by measuring your original gearbox and applying the following formula: TIP = F + B - (A/2) - .057. A more precise measurement (which accounts for the hopup and bucking in use) may be obtained by installing a nozzle into the system which is slightly too long for the replica and measuring the nozzle setback when placed into the hopup.

  • Polarstar Fusion Engine v2 M4

    Have you ever dreamed of Polarizing your MP5, G3 or SCAR? With the introduction of the GEN3, now you can! At first glance the GEN3 FE looks very much like the GEN2 and, for the most part, the two are quite similar. However, unlike its predecessor, the FE GEN3 is no longer just for the M4/M16 series rifle. We applied the same concept used with our Version 3 Fusion Engine™ so that it is now able to interface with the selector plate and related components of your existing AEG’s gearbox.

    The FE GEN3 will come complete with a trigger and steel selector plate so that it can be installed into any airsoft gun which is Tokyo Marui compatible. However, by installing a different nozzle or rifle specific conversion kit, you will be able to expand the number of rifles it will be compatible with. In most cases all you’ll need to do is change out the trigger and selector components with ones from your AEG, install a different Fusion Engine™ nozzle, and the engine is ready to use in a completely different model of rifle.

    The internal operation of the Fusion Engine cylinder assembly are exactly the same and share many of the same parts, so it offers the same stellar downrange performance and rock solid reliability as its predecessor. This GEN3 does however feature a new side plate design to accommodate the AEG selector plate and is equipped with a new electronic switchboard. One advantage to this new design is that the switchboard offers a wider contact point with the selector plate to allow for varying tolerances in the rifles selector assembly making for improved out-of-the-box compatibility with an increased number of rifle brands.

    As requested by many of our fans, the FE GEN3 will come standard with our newly redesigned “Milsim Manifold”. This feature enables the user to install an optional 90 degree fitting inside of their engine allowing the air line to be routed to the rear of the engine and exit through the buffer tube sling plate on an M4 series rifle.

    As with all of our engine models, you can quickly change and adjust key functions of the engine via the on-board FCU (Fire Control Unit) which is no bigger than an AEG`s MOSFET and can easily fit inside of a rifles battery compartment along with a small Li-po battery.     Have you ever dreamed of Polarizing your MP5, G3 or SCAR? With the introduction of the GEN3, now you can! At first glance the GEN3 FE looks very much like the GEN2 and, for the most part, the two are quite similar. However, unlike its predecessor, the FE GEN3 is no longer just for the M4/M16 series rifle. We applied the same concept used with our Version 3 Fusion Engine™ so that it is now able to interface with the selector plate and related components of your existing AEG’s gearbox.

    The FE GEN3 will come complete with a trigger and steel selector plate so that it can be installed into any airsoft gun which is Tokyo Marui compatible. However, by installing a different nozzle or rifle specific conversion kit, you will be able to expand the number of rifles it will be compatible with. In most cases all you’ll need to do is change out the trigger and selector components with ones from your AEG, install a different Fusion Engine™ nozzle, and the engine is ready to use in a completely different model of rifle.

    The internal operation of the Fusion Engine cylinder assembly are exactly the same and share many of the same parts, so it offers the same stellar downrange performance and rock solid reliability as its predecessor.     Polarstar Fusion Engine modified by P6 Workshop poppet mod wich reduce power and optimize air consumption.

    The Polarstar Fusion Engine poppet is designed to work with all the powers offered by the wide range of nozzles, the original air flow is therefore very high and not optimized for low powers (large air release on poppet side and tiny nozzle diameter). Our preparation carried out in the workshop aims to modify the poppet by reducing the air flow released instantly by the valve and by enlarging the internal diameter of the original nozzle.The poppet air flow modification have only one single hole (unlike the red and yellow Polarstar sprinkler type poppets) and it is identical to the inner diameter of the modified nozzle, which optimizes air flow and air consumption for the requested power. Maximum power at 120 PSI is around 430FPS. FPS results may vary depending on the length and diameter of the barrel.

      Functions:

      • Engine Type: This value is very important as it tells the control unit how many solenoids are used in the HPA system
      • CB Mode: Allows you to select the firing sequence with double solenoid setup : Open Bolt or closed Bolt
      • RAMP Mode : RAMP feature comes from paintball and let you to fire slow on SEMI mode. When firing speed increase and reach a preset threshold, the rifle will start firing on FULL AUTO mode while cadence remain the same: if it decrease, rifle will return on SEMI mode. (When enable RAMPMode, full-auto switch will be disabled)
      • Sniper Delay: When enable Sniper Delay, full-auto switch will be disabled, and the engine will only work in semi-auto mode, after each shot, the FCU will let you wait a period of time, and the length is determined by the set value
      • Magazine capacity limit: This function, if enabled, will cause the control unit to stop working once it reaches the set number of strokes and to resume, wait 2 seconds. This allows you to simulate mid / low cap magazines even if magazines with higher capacities are mounted underneath, moreover if set the real capacity of the assembled magazines you will avoid shooting empty.
      • Auto-load: When detect a connection of a gel ball magazine, the FCU will power the magazine for a period of time, and the length is determined by the set value
      • Friction Timer and Friction Value: Although often unnecessary with a well set replica, it may sometimes be necessary to set a higher poppet dwell value to overcome static friction. Static friction is a physical phenomenon that causes the first bullet to be fired after a period of inactivity and comes out with lower powers. If you notice that after a few minutes of inactivity the first bullet finds it difficult to be fired, or comes out weaker, it could be the fault of the static friction. Chose after how much seconds from last shoot (Friction Timer) your Friction Value will be summed to your Poppet Dwell (just the first shot). Put both these value to 0 to deactivate this function.
      • SEMI and AUTO: On some parameters you can read the words SEMI or AUTO before, this has be done to have different parameters value depending on your Fire Selector Position. When your gun is on Semi, FCU will use the Semi parameters otherwise, if in Auto position, will use the other.
      • Poppet Dwell: These are among the most important, and indicates how many tenths of a millisecond the solenoid will remain activated. We suggest to never set a value less than 30 to avoid missed shots or other problems.
      • Nozzle Dwell: Another fundamental value is Nozzle Dwell. Expressed in milliseconds, it indicates the time required to load the bullet into thehop-up chamber. It is used only on 2-solenoid systems. Its value depends very much on the BB Magazines used. We suggest never to go below 8 to avoid the risk of jamming or other BB loading problems.
      • Poppet Delay: It is a wait value expressed in milliseconds, a low value is useful for having higher ROF or reactivity, but often at the expense of precision. It should never be set to 0 nor too low. If the replica fails,increase this value. We suggest to never set a value less than 4.

      Connection details :

      • 1 = Common positive +5V

      The Adjustable Feed Tube enables you to set length of if it, meaning you can fine tune it for your magazines! This can improve the feeding  and reduce the up/down play of the magazine in the magwell. (If you have different branded magazines, try them all before use to make an universal adjustment)

      BARREL ALIGNMENT GROOVE

      The Alpha features a groove that can help you with barrel alignment, we recommend using this as a reference point as some less quality barrels can have misaligned hop-up window! We recommend Sniper Upgrades, PDI, Lambda, ZCI stainless steel barrels! They are tried and tested by us!

    Powair6 si proud to introduce the G&G ARP9 HPA. Some options are available if you want another HPA system or change some parts like hop-up rubber or trigger. The replica comes with the original 6mm macroline out of the motor grip but you have the possibility to choose our easyconnect system, in this case the male connector will be fitted directly onto the motor grip, no more visible macroline hose, just click & go.

    Important note :

    • All AEG spare parts unmounted are delivered with the replica
    • Please do not modify the nozzle and airflow values ​​of the FCU, modify only firing modes.
    • We strongly advice you to use high performance mid-cap spring operated
    • Don't feed your mid cap magazine more than 80% of the maximal capacity
    • We strongly advice you to use high performance BBs such as BLS, Krytac, Madbul,ASG blaster Devil, ASG open Blaster.
    • Never use grease or any silicone on the electric gun, magazine or BBs
    • Be sure to use clean air and check that your air filter is clean if you are using HPA home compressor.
    • 12 month warranty by P6 Workshop, if the product is opened warranty is voided.

    bonjour, oui mais pas avec la fusion car celle-ci ne le permet pas. en revanche sur du f2 polarstar ou du wolverine inferno, oui cela est tout a fait possible.
